Bhartti’s story.  In the Inner Spaces Series, I have painted quiet spaces that are difficult to find amidst the chaos of buildings and construction in Delhi, where I was born and where I live.  I hope viewers of my work can experience the same peacefulness and calm that I seek in these spaces. My cities are dwellings, a grid of living spaces, a matrix, a womb. I paint objects that are part of day to day life.  In this painting the bio-scope is my metaphor for life - it allows us to visit and understand memories and events that have shaped who we are today.
