Kavita Shah (b. 1962) is a printmaker from Baroda. She received her BFA (painting) and MFA (Printmaking) from the Maharaja Savajirao University of Baroda. She is the co-founder of CHAAP – a cooperative of print artists; and has organized several international exhibitions of women print-makers. She was invited to participate in Le Mois de l’estemps in Paris, worked with legendary print maker Robert Blackburn in New York, went to Berlin on a fellowship to work with GlogauAir, and has received several prestigious awards. Kavita has exhibited in 6 solo, 16 or more group and 6 international shows in Europe and the US. Her works are in the collections of the National Assembly, Paris, Novotel Hotel, Vidhan Sabha, Bhopal, and many private collectors.
