Jignasha Ohja’s (b. 1979) art is a satirical comment on the present-day socio-political scenario in the Asian sub-continent. Jignasha completed her BFA (2001) and MFA (2003) in painting from M.S. University, Baroda. She has had multiple exhibitions in Asia, the UK (the Royal College of Art) and the US. In 2014, she received the National Junior Fellowship Award from the Govt. of India, in 2012, the Imagining our Future Together award by the World Bank, in 2011, the Asia Pacific Fellowship award, by National Museum Republic of South Korea, in 2007, the Commonwealth Arts and Craft Award from the Commonwealth Foundation in London. Her works are in the collections of the Devi Art Foundation, the World Bank and many private collectors worldwide.
