Seema’s story.  I pull together disparate images of ancient architecture and sculpture, mythical figures, Hindu and Buddhist symbols, stupas, temples, goddesses and create a new reality that speaks to my quest for spiritual consciousness and harmony.  I have depicted five images of Hanuman from different geographies and brought them together in this work. Hanuman is the beloved monkey-god and hero of the epic Ramayana – for his role in rescuing Sita (wife of Ram) from the evil king of Lanka, Ravana.
